We are working with a leading US firm in the centre of Brussels to assist on the expansion of their Competition team. This client whose presence in Brussels continues to grow year on year is now actively looking to hire a junior associate to bolster its award winning team.

You will join a market leading team, which is led by three very respected partners and work on a broad remit of mostly international matters. Brussels is the heartbeat of this firms’ European operation so you can expect a variety of cross-border merger work, in addition you will advise on investigations into alleged anti-competitive business practices and cartels. Sector coverage will include technology and sciences so you will benefit from working with global blue-chip clients as well.

To be successful in your application I would expect you to have between 1-3 years’ experience in Brussels. You do not necessarily need to have exposure to all areas of competition law as stated above but must be able to demonstrate some knowledge and a desire to learn. Either a Belgian, UK or US LLM would be preferable but not essential.
